LED

A LED is a Light-Emitting Diode, a semiconductor that thanks to the electroluminescence phenomenon emits visible light when acrossed by electric current. LED lighting is much more efficient compared to old incandescent and energy saving lamps. Among the main advantages:

  • less power consumption due to the production of light and not heat;
  • long lasting, up to 35.000 hours and more;
  • very quick lighting up and ideal for uses subject to frequent on-off cycling;
  • totally recyclable.
